René Hansen
René has over 25 years of international experience in the fields of oil & gas, ports and logistics, education, technology, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and legal advisory services.
From 2012 through 2018, René was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Oil and Gas Future of Human Capital Working Group, a group made up of the industry’s most senior HR thought leadership. He is also a partner of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community.
Prior to joining ES8, René served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Crescent Group, one of the largest conglomerates in United Arab Emirates with operations in 22 countries. Prior to this, René worked in Legal Advisory Services, FMCG and Education.
René holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the Montana State University, USA. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and a Master of Business Administration from the London Business School in the UK.
